Ortiz Transport Policies
We require a deposit for all jobs booked.
We require one hourly rate to book your date. It is non-refundable if you cancel or reschedule your date. Otherwise it'll come off your total at the end of the move or delivery.
When you hire a moving company, you have rights and responsibilities as set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA): The Brochures are above to download.
All payments are due at the end of the move in FULL.
We do NOT accept personal checks.
Credit card fee notice:
If you use a credit card, we will charge an additional 2.9% fee and any applicable taxes to help offset processing costs. This is not more than we pay in fees.
Things we will NOT Move: these items will not pose a risk to your other belongings in the moving truck. For example, hazardous materials such as explosives, compressed gasses, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials are not allowed for transport.
Storage Fee
If for any reason we need us to hold your household goods in our truck overnight there will be an additional $150 added to the bill. (IE: closing didn't finish in time; don't have keys to the new location. We will NOT hold it for more than 1 overnight. We will secure the truck. We do not take responsibility for any loss or stolen items when held overnight.
